Ryan Flamingo was one of the first acquisitions after the successful 2023-2024 season. The talented central defender was to replace the departed André Ramalho. Ryan had impressed in two consecutive seasons as a base player for Vitesse and FC Utrecht. The captain of the Dutch Junior Team manifested himself from the outset as a star player in the rearguard. Ryan played as many as 24 games in the first half of the season, and excelled in the UEFA Champions League in the home game with Sporting CP, among others.

Flamingo's football journey began in 2014 at Almere City's youth academy. At 16, he made his debut with the Under-21, before being picked up by VS Sassuolo in Serie A in the summer of 2021. After a season in Italy, in which he played for the club's O20, he returned to the Netherlands. First on a rental basis with Vitesse and then with FC Utrecht, where he was acquired permanently.
