A beautiful goal by Couhaib Driouech! He nicely outmaneuvers the Heracles Almelo defense and rams the ball into the short corner. He makes his first for PSV in the Eredivisie!

Heracles Almelo thought they were equal again through a goal by Mario Engels, but the linesman flagged for offside.

And there the Heracles Almelo attackers were equally dangerous. From the left side the ball was well passed to the head of Mario Engels, but Benítez plucked the ball well out of the air.

Chucky gets the ball played and delivers it cleanly to Guus Til. He pulls the trigger, but the goalkeeper stops the ball.

Johan Bakayoko is the first PSV player aged 21 or younger with a goal in each of the first 2 Eredivisie playing rounds since Noni Madueke in 2021-2022.

PSV came out of the locker room well in the second half and have been pretty much in control ever since. Twenty minutes to go with two new impulses in the team: Teze and Driouech.

And there was almost PSV's second goal. Noa Lang makes a nice action on the left flank, but the ball lands on the inside of the post and rolls past just barely in.

Goal! Guus Til makes a good run and gets the ball in the penalty area after a nice pass from Olivier Boscagli. Defender Ivan Mesik works the ball into his own goal making PSV equalize at the Asito Stadium: 1-1!

The second half started with PSV putting high pressure right away. Malik Tillman stayed behind in the locker room and in his place Guus Til is now on the field.

PSV is trying to keep the ball despite a heavily pressuring Heracles Almelo and to create chances through good teamwork. They certainly do, but so far those chances have not yet led to goals.

Joey sees the Heracles Almelo goalkeeper standing far in front of his goal and decides to take a shot from his own half. The ball goes over the goalkeeper, but hits the crossbar so it just doesn't fly in.

Noa Lang gets the ball at his feet from a corner kick, but the ball is stopped en route by a defender and lands just above the goal.

PSV tries to regain control of the match, building from the back to create chances, and Luuk de Jong tries, but the goalkeeper on the Heracles Almelo side is alert.

Early in the match, Heracles Almelo took the lead via a penalty kick. Brian de Keersmacker exploited it from eleven meters and put the Almelo players in a 1-0 lead at home.
