Because PSV O18 and Ajax O18 had split the spring and fall championships, an all-deciding final had to decide a national champion. After a thrilling penalty kick sequence, PSV O18 drew the longest straw and secured the ticket to the UEFA Youth League.
PSV O18 started the match dominantly. A number of chances soon followed. The biggest was for Jullian Kwaaitaal. The outside player got one on one with the goalkeeper, but he was able to turn his shot away. Then the Amsterdammers came close to Kjell Peersman's goal several times. There were hardly any chances in the first half of the extension. Both teams seemed somewhat tired. PSV O18 was able to keep the ball in the team for a long time now and then, but things kept going wrong around the penalty area. Arthur Piedfort received a red card in the closing stages of the game after he illegally ended a breakaway. Penalty kicks had to decide. It was a thrilling penalty series in which both teams had to take eight shots before Renzo Tytens scored the winning goal.
