Steven Bergwijn and Denzel Dumfries were unanimous after Heracles Almelo - PSV. Indeed, both goal scorers see the PSV train rolling on: "We have to keep going like this."
Goal difference
With a goal difference of +50 (!) and 15 wins after 16 matches, PSV is the third best performing team in the Eredivisie ever. Only Ajax in 1995-1996 and the golden PSV of 1988 could produce even better figures. In Almelo, the PSV counter eventually stopped at four goals. One of those came off the foot of Denzel Dumfries. "Maybe I should score more often," the defender, good for the 0-3, laughed at FOX Sports.
'Good game '
"It's always nice when you score, nice and a good win for the team. Hopefully many more may follow and we keep going like this," the winger said. Dumfries also saw PSV play a good game. "I think we can be satisfied, we played a good game and can be proud that we played the game well," he said.
Sloppy
Steven Bergwijn, maker of the 0-1, did not entirely agree with his teammate. "We started a bit sloppy after halftime, also because of that red card," he posted a critical note. "We gave them a bit of courage and strength, but after the 0-3 it was done. We have to keep going like this," Bergwijn said.
Beautiful hit
The goal he scored was a fine one. At FOX Sports, he looked back at the goal and commented. "It was cold yes, but that ball was in nicely. We had discussed this scenario beforehand. The ball came a little bit behind me, that's why I had to drag it. Then I was able to tap the ball in. A bit of an indoor football goal."
