Phillip Cocu stood before FOX Sports' camera afterwards with a very satisfied feeling. The head coach called the 5-0 victory "the best medicine against Thursday's hangover.

"I am very pleased with the match. We set the pace from moment one and continued to do so constantly. Until the very last minute. Also for the supporters," said Cocu, who stressed that he thought it was clever that his team was able to pick themselves up after Thursday's thumping with a fat win. "The players really did a great job. They got the maximum out of the match."

Cocu chose to change his team on three positions prior to the game. Pereiro, Schwaab and Ramselaar therefore played in place of Locadia - who indicated he was unable to start the game, Moreno and Siem de Jong. In large part, that had to do with freshness, he said. "I wanted to bring in some fresh guys. We knew it was going to be hot. Freshness can be the deciding factor at a time like that, especially if it stays 0-0 for a long time. Fortunately, it was played pretty quickly in the second half."
