Every week Gracenote finds out all about the matches PSV plays. The club closes 'Super January' with the traditionally tricky away game against Feyenoord. On Feb. 25, 2018, PSV last won in Rotterdam-Zuid.
Four in a row?
PSV won its last three Eredivisie matches. The last time the club turned four Eredivisie matches in a row into wins was between August and September 2019.
One out of thirteen
Only one of the last thirteen away duels in the Eredivisie did PSV lose (W8-G4-V1). Only Vitesse was too strong last October.
Out win against top four team welcome
PSV lost five of its last six away games against Ajax, Feyenoord and AZ in the Eredivisie, with the 2-2 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA being the exception. The last away win against any of these teams was on April 7, 2018, when PSV triumphed 2-3 at AZ.
Difficulty in top matches
This season, PSV did not win any of the three Eredivisie matches against the current top five (W0-G1-V2). Against teams currently ranked sixth or lower, PSV is unbeaten this season (W13-G3-V0).
Zahavi could follow Malen and Memphis
Eran Zahavi could become the second PSV player this season to score in three consecutive Eredivisie games. Donyell Malen did so earlier in the month of November, when he was successively treacherous against Willem II, FC Twente and Sparta Rotterdam.
In addition, Zahavi could become the first PSV player since Memphis Depay to score at both Ajax and Feyenoord in the same season. Memphis did so in 2014-2015.
Clean sheets
PSV kept 'the zero' in the last two Eredivisie matches, against FC Emmen and RKC Waalwijk. If they can do the same against Feyenoord on Sunday, the club will keep a clean sheet in the Eredivisie for the first time three times in a row since March 2019.
