Eran Zahavi and Jordan Teze will miss the away game against PEC Zwolle because of a positive Coronatest. The Israeli striker tested positive after returning from international matches with his homeland.
As is known, Teze tested positive last week with the Dutch Junior Team. The defender returned to the players' group yesterday based on the RIVM guidelines and after consultation with the microbiologists. However, yesterday's test showed Teze did not meet the requirements to participate in the match against PEC Zwolle.
Teze may continue to participate in training as usual because he has been symptom-free and therefore not contagious for some time. However, the load of a match is considerably heavier and therefore there are higher requirements. In consultation with the KNVB, PSV has concluded that Jordan Teze does not currently meet the requirements for playing a match. As a result, -in this case- Teze is allowed to train in a group but is not allowed to play a match.
Zahavi went into quarantine immediately after taking the test. There he will remain for at least 72 hours. After that, his situation will be reviewed.
