Head coach Mark van Bommel did not spare his team after the 2-0 defeat against Ajax. "We must quickly become big men," he said after the duel for the Johan Cruijff Schaal.
Van Bommel saw his team fail to start the match sharply and thus Ajax make it 1-0 within a minute. Afterwards, Pablo Rosario was also clear about PSV's performance. "It wasn't good enough today. We were shitty," said the captain, who was visibly annoyed by PSV's first goal after 36 seconds. "That shouldn't be allowed and we didn't get into the game after that. We lost the game in the duels and on the ball."
