Thanks to a 3-0 win over Willem II, PSV nestles back alongside Ajax in points in the Eredivisie. Both title contenders now have 80 points after 32 rounds of play. "We still have a chance. And the confidence is there," said standout Donyell Malen.
It was going to run
The striker signed for the 0-1 before halftime, after PSV initially had some trouble creating chances, after a quick dribble. "At one point it started running," Malen said. "That was because as a team we started moving a lot and looking for the combination forward."
The striker found himself back in the starting lineup for the second week in a row and did not shame that confidence of Mark van Bommel. With runs, Malen was a constant plague on the Tilburg defense. "It's nice to be able to run everywhere. A little left, a little right, a little middle. With the 1-0 I got the ball a little bit with luck but then I rounded it off nicely."
