The players of PSV/FC Eindhoven will take on OH Leuven from Belgium in an away match on Friday night at 7:30 pm. PSV/FCE is fifth, OH Leuven is the last one in the BeNe League.
Rising line
The past four matches have all been won by the PSV Women. As a result, Nebojsa Vuckovic's team is in fifth place and has fourth place in sight. A spot in the top three is no longer possible. "It is absolutely no time yet to look at the rankings," was Vuckovic's reaction to the standings in the BeNe League. "The focus and execution of tasks must be maximum tonight to bring the three points back to Eindhoven."
Victory at De Herdgang
Earlier this season, PSV/FC Eindhoven won relatively easily at home against OH Leuven. It was 3-0 thanks to two almost identical goals by Myrthe Moorrees and a free kick by Ibtissam Bouharat. Another win over Leuven, however, is not a foregone conclusion, according to Vuckovic. "OHL has had good results in recent weeks and has a fit and complete squad. They are keen for a result at home and won from us there last season."
Nearly fit selection
In recent weeks, some star players have returned to the squad, but coach Vuckovic does not yet have a fully fit group at his disposal. Kika van Es and Michelle Hendriks are not yet with the team. The foursome Jette van Vlerken, Marlou Peeters, Marlou Kelleners and Sharon Schoonderbeek will most likely not return to action this season.
