Suzanne Giesen currently plays her matches in the red and white of PSV, but previously did so in the service of FC Twente. The two teams meet Sunday afternoon at Sportpark Schreurserve. The midfielder knows how it feels to step off the field victorious in Enschede and hopes to return home with three points this weekend as well.

It is a duel between the number one and three on the Azerion Women's Eredivisie rankings. Earlier, they lost 1-2 at PSV Campus De Herdgang, so feelings of revenge will certainly play a role. "We have continued to grow as a team. At the beginning of this season, we started a process and began to create a certain structure," Suzanne began.

Respect and drive
FC Twente Women are league leaders and that brings extra motivation. "We are really keen to show on Sunday that we can be at the top of the league. It's up to us to show guts again and put the same energy into the game as we did in the home game. From there, the details will become decisive." The 30-year-old former player of the Toppers speaks with great respect about Sunday's opponent. "They have been together for a while and know what it's like to play for prizes. They are a top team. They have a clear plan and from there they can play very well."

Special event
Suzanne played for FC Twente Women for many years, giving it "something extra" leading up to the encounter. "I always enjoyed playing there and also got to pick up a number of prizes. I still know a lot of girls, so it is definitely special to play against them again. On the field it's just plenty of battle and then a little more time for socializing, haha. After the defeat against Ajax (0-3) they will be keen to show that they still have the winning mood. It will be a very interesting match, where we want to lift each other to the highest level."
