Young PSV went down on Monday at home against FC Oss, but will get the chance to wash away that defeat on Friday night. The team of Darije Kalezic travels to Almere for the game with Almere City FC, which starts at 20.00 hours.
Shaky 2015
For now, Young PSV's second half of the season is not going very well. Of the seven duels, two were converted into wins, the other five were lost. Two weeks ago, Young PSV recorded the first away win of 2015, Sparta Rotterdam was beaten handsomely 0-2 at Het Kasteel. On Monday, Kalezic's team took the lead against FC Oss through a goal by Marcel Ritzmaier, but after halftime the game ended in a 1-3 win for Oss.
Stable middle engine
Almere City FC is having a surprisingly good season so far. Where in recent seasons the Flevolanders were sometimes in the lower regions, Almere City is now in ninth place in the Jupiler League. Last weekend they took all three points at Fortuna Sittard (1-2). From the last five games Almere took ten points. Should it win against Young PSV, it will be equal in points with Sparta (43). With a win, Young PSV can pass Jong FC Twente in the rankings.
Loss at De Herdgang
Just before the winter break, Young PSV hosted Almere City at De Herdgang. The game ended in a 0-1 defeat for Kalezic's team. Norair Mamedov scored the only goal of the match fifteen minutes after halftime. The victory over Young PSV was part of a series of ten games in which Almere remained unbeaten. In that series Almere recorded seven wins and played three draws. Against MVV Maastricht, the series came to an end.
