PSV ended training camp with a win and a defeat. The two 75-minute matches were played with two different teams. PSV won the first one 2-1, but then lost with the same result.
In the first game, PSV took the lead through Luuk de Jong. The striker converted a rebound into a goal after a shot from Guus Til was still denied by the goalkeeper. In the second half, Guus did hit the target. Eventually Paderborn scored the tying goal, but it remained 2-1.
With his first goal on behalf of PSV, Couhaib Driouech ensured that the main squad took the lead in the second game as well. However, it was not enough to avoid defeat. Indeed, Paderborn scored twice.
Preparation
PSV was at training camp this week in Marienfeld, Germany. After the practice matches, the A-selection returned home. Wednesday awaits the Lichtstadderby and Saturday follows the PSV FANdag with a practice match against Valencia CF.
