Angela Christ, Sisca Folkertsma and Vanity Lewerissa report to the Orange Lionesses in early April for practice matches with France and Iceland. Aniek Nouwen is in the preliminary selection for the elite round with Orange O19.
Practice matches Oranje
National coach Sarina Wiegman has made a selection of 23 players for the international matches against France and Iceland, including PSV players Christ, Folkertsma and Lewerissa. On Friday, April 7 at 8 p.m., the Dutch team will play a game against France in the Galgenwaard in Utrecht. On Tuesday, April 11 at 7 p.m. Iceland will oppose the Orange in Stadion De Vijverberg in Doetinchem. The practice internationals are part of preparation for the European Championships that will take place in the Netherlands from July 16 to August 6, 2017.
Elite Round Oranje O19
Defender Aniek Nouwen is in the preliminary selection for the UEFA European Championship Elite Round with Oranje O19 where the youth internationals can force placement for the 2017 European Championship in Northern Ireland. The elite round will be held in the Netherlands from April 4 to 11. The team will be in action on the following days.
