Young PSV started the fourth period well with wins over Jong Utrecht and Jong AZ. Friday night the PSV talents will try to follow that up in the away match against Excelsior. With the Rotterdammers, PSV still has a score to settle.
Revanche
It was the opening game of the 2020-2021 season: Psv U21 - Excelsior. It could have been a nice debut for a lot of new guys, but it turned out differently. Young PSV got six goals and lost 1-6. Tonight, the Peter Uneken team will be determined to put things right.
Selection
It has to do so with four new names. With Jenson Seelt, Fedde Leysen, Cheick Touré, Ismael Saibari and Mathijs Tielemans all five injured, it gets reinforcements from Under-18. Livano Comenencia, Ilyas Bougafer, Mylian Jimenez and Koen Jansen join Young PSV for the first time, giving them a chance to make their debut in professional football. Vincent Müller will join from the A-selection, completing the selection.
Smiling faces
Due to the international period, no game was played last week. However, Jeremy Antonisse did travel to the Curaçao national team for two games in World Cup qualification. Both games were won and with an assist, Antonisse was not without merit. Mohammed Amin Doudah signed a new contract last week, so he too will be on the field tonight with a smile.
Start of the match is at 8 p.m. and can be followed on EPSN 1 via the switching channel.
