Yorbe Vertessen played an excellent game against FC Twente. The striker scored twice and was constantly dangerous. He looks back on the match with his head held high.
Patience
"It was difficult at the beginning, but we knew there was more to it," Vertessen said. "We did well in the end and scored a lot. But it was hard to deal with the goals against. We had to stay patient and put it right. We did that very well as a team. I always work hard and keep waiting patiently for my moments, because I always want to be important for the team."
First goal
His first goal was surely the most beautiful. A kiezelhard shot into the far corner brought the equalizer. Vertessen explains how his goal came about: "I was looking for teammates, but I didn't see anyone free. I decided to shoot, which turned out to be a good choice. It was unfortunate that we didn't lock the game in the first half but fortunately in the second half it went very well.
