PSV's 3-0 win over Willem II notwithstanding, head coach Mark van Bommel is not happy with his team's schedule. Indeed, PSV will have something of a break for the next two weeks. "This is an exceptional and strange situation," the coach said.
The Eredivisie does not start again until May 12 with playoff round 33. PSV will then play an away match in Alkmaar against AZ. In the meantime, the team is thus free unlike Ajax, which is active in Europe and plays a cup final next weekend. "You can't go seventeen days without a game, I think," Van Bommel said afterwards in Tilburg. "Unbelievable that at this stage of the league we don't play matches for two and a half weeks. This affects every club. I can't imagine this would happen in another country."
