With two wins in the three games since the draw in Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund is currently in fine form. Meanwhile, 41-year-old coach Edin Terzić sees three players returning from the sickbay. In this article you can read all about the state of play against Wednesday night's opponent.
Since the game in Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund appeared in action for three league matches. Edin Terzić's formation went down 2-3 in front of their own crowd on the weekend after the match in Eindhoven. TSG Hoffenheim repaired a 2-1 deficit in the second half. After that, 'Die Borussen' played two duels on foreign soil. Union Berlin were beaten 2-0 by goals Karim Adeyemi and Chelsea FC loanee Ian Maatsen.

This weekend against SV Werder Bremen, Donyell Malen opened the scoring with something in between an overhead kick and a volley. Because his superb goal in the 38' minute was followed up by a goal from Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund seemed to be heading for an easy win. An illusion that was shattered when Marcel Sabitzer picked up a red card late in the first half. With one man down, a counter goal was scored in the 70th minute, but that was all that remained.
Sickbay
Coach Edin Terzić sees his sickbay emptying somewhat before the meeting with PSV. Just before leaving for Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund saw 22-year-old Karim Adeyemi drop out and goalkeeper Gregor Kobel fell out during the warm-up. In addition, Felix Nmecha had been out of action for some time. All three have since returned to minutes played. However, Sébastien Halleren and Ole Pohlmann do not seem to be fit in time for the return game.
