Young PSV will resume the league on Friday night with a home match against Helmond Sport. Coach Dennis Haar's team will kick off the second half of the season with a depleted squad at 20:00 at De Herdgang.

Absentees
Among others, Haar will miss Armando Obispo, Mauro Júnior and Donyell Malen, who are with PSV 1 at training camp in America. Also missing are Nikolai Laursen (on training camp with the national team of Denmark) and Joey Konings (injured). Moreover, shortly before the winter break, head coach Phillip Cocu siphoned Albert Gudmundsson and Kenneth Paal to PSV 1, so they are no longer part of the Psv U21 selection either.

Kardes' return, trio O19 joins
Good news for Haar is the return of Gokhan Kardes to the matchday squad. The defender is fully recovered from an injury that kept him sidelined for quite some time. Also in the matchday squad are Justin Lonwijk, Joël Piroe and Jordan Teze, who also went with Young PSV to Spain at the beginning of this calendar year.

Ironclad final
Young PSV had an ironclad final of 2017 with five wins and a draw in their last seven matches. As a result, the team climbed to fifth place in the Jupiler League, ten points behind leaders Fortuna Sittard. Opponent Helmond Sport is penultimate in the league. Earlier this season the game between the two teams ended in a 2-1 victory for Young PSV. Tickets for tonight's match are on sale at the ticket office at De Herdgang and cost €5 each. You do not need a Club Card to purchase one.
