Madi Monamay is officially a PSV player as of today. The Belgian youth international comes over from Bayer Leverkusen and has signed a three-year contract. With this he is fixed until mid-2027.

Eighteen-year-old Madi Monamay Nsosemo has played with the German national champion's youth academy since 2022-2023. Before that, he was active at KRC Genk and OH Leuven. Last season, the defender made 24 appearances in the U19-Bundesliga West. He also trained with the main squad and made four appearances for Belgium U19.

Madi joins the promising team, where, after several weeks without group training, he is being prepared for the new season.

Long followed
Technical Manager Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink sees a long-awaited deal become a reality. "We followed Madi even before he went to Bayer Leverkusen. We watched him several times and are more than convinced of his ability. He is a modern, versatile footballer with a lot of potential. We are confident that at PSV he will seize the opportunities to take the next steps."

'Honor to wear the shirt'
For his part, Madi can't wait to get started. "I am very happy that everything is complete and want to start as soon as possible. I had a good feeling with PSV from the beginning and think it's an honor to wear the shirt," says the young defender, who immediately makes his goals known. "I want to show my qualities and join the main squad as soon as possible."
