PSV is extending Richard Ledezma until mid-2025. In addition, the midfielder is not in PSV's selection against Vitesse to finalize a lease agreement.

The 22-year-old Richard Ledezma started at PSV Academy in 2019. One year later, the American made his debut in the main squad in the 4-0 win over ADO Den Haag. The Phoenix-born midfielder played 23 times for the A squad. He scored his first goal in the 2-1 victory over PEC Zwolle. In the last game of the 2021-2022 season, he scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.

Contract
Richard's development is now being rewarded with a contract extension. "I am very happy that PSV have once again shown that they believe in me," he says as his scrawl under the new commitment shows off. "Now I'm greatly looking forward to gaining more experience, so let's hope it comes around soon." The American also appeared in action for 47 games for Young PSV. In those, he scored seven goals and provided the same number of assists.

Making minutes

Director of Football Affairs Earnest Stewart is pleased that he has been able to bind Richard to PSV for longer. At the same time he wants to give the talented right winger the chance to develop further: "He has shown he can do it, but in this phase of his career it is important that he makes minutes. That is why we are giving him permission to complete a rental deal."
