Psv U21 did not manage to continue their strong series against Cambuur Leeuwarden. After an hour of play, coach Dennis Haar's team had to continue with ten men. In the closing stages, the visitors from Friesland were awarded a questionable penalty kick, causing Young PSV to lose 2-1.

Van de Meulenhof important
Young PSV struggled in the early stages against Cambuur. After a quarter of an hour the team took a 1-0 lead through a goal by Robbert Schindler. Young PSV fought their way back into the game. Ramon Pascal Lundqvist served Cody Gakpo with a brilliant pass that allowed the striker to score his seventh goal in four games: 1-1. Cambuur went in search of a second goal, but goalkeeper Mike van de Meulenhof made four brilliant saves.

Ten men
The second half started rather messy and both teams created few chances. After an hour of play, PSV had to continue with ten men. Bertalan Kun received his second yellow card and had to leave. Young PSV held on for a long time, but in the final phase they had to give way after a penalty kick by Robin Maulun: 1-2.
