Frustration reigns after the loss against Willem II. PSV had the chances, but can't show it with three points. PSV players react to the match with disappointment.
Efficiency
Roger Schmidt expected more from the match, but is now still looking at the loss. "We play well, create chances, don't allow our opponents anything, but lose 2-1," the Head Coach told ESPN. "They score their only shot on goal and we get an unfortunate own goal. We should have been much more decisive and put the game away early. Unfortunately, we have to accept that we couldn't score more than one. With the efficiency I can't be happy today."
No excuse
"I almost don't believe we lost," Eran Zahavi says. "We played better and had the game in our hands. Yes, we made mistakes and we were unlucky. But we shouldn't use that as an excuse. We had enough moments to decide the match but didn't."
Mistakes
Marco van Ginkel sees improvements in PSV's play, but the final score does not show it. "Disappointing," the captain responded. "The last few games we didn't play very well, today it was much better. We give away few chances, so this certainly shouldn't have happened. Two unfortunate goals against and we didn't finish our chances ourselves. Then you have zero points. We make two mistakes and lose because of that."
