PSV Women recorded an impressive win at Sportcomplex De Toekomst. The striker duo Smits and Snoeijs made the difference: 1-4.
The team started the first half well and was close to a goal twice through Katja Snoeijs. Her first attempt was stopped by goalkeeper Lize Kop and the second came a toe short. Still, the opening goal had to wait. After more than half an hour Van Dooren put Smits away and the striker rounded off in a controlled manner. And it didn't stop there. PSV continued and thanks to a nice shot by Snoeijs they went into the break with a 0-2 lead.

Early in the second half, the Amsterdammers pressed on and the home team looked for the tying goal. It came quickly. Through Van Lunteren, Ajax got to 1-2. Where it seemed that the Amsterdammers got the upper hand, Snoeijs closed the door fifteen minutes before time. After a good action by Pattiwael, she put the rebound back to the striker, who could easily tap in. To crown the match, Smits also scored her second goal of the match, putting the final score of 1-4 on the scoreboard.
PSV Women now increase the gap with the competition and have a six-point lead over nearest rival Ajax. Next week, the women will play the away game in the Eredivisie Cup. At PSV Campus De Herdgang, PSV and FC Twente kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
