In a particularly entertaining game, Young PSV played out a draw against N.E.C. The title contender from Nijmegen led 2-0 after 44 minutes, saw Young PSV make it 2-4 ten minutes before time, but dragged out a point in the closing stages.
Ramselaar
After a stormy start by the home team, Young PSV quickly found themselves behind. In the 10th minute, Braken took advantage of the psv U21 defense's ineptitude by nipping in the 1-0 from close range. Before that, Van Osch had to save several times on attempts by Darri - who also hit the post - and Achahbar. On the half hour, PSV had the first chance through Ramselaar. After a good run, the midfielder appeared in front of goalkeeper Alblas, who turned a hard shot into a corner. A minute later, the industrious Ramselaar shot just wide. As the equalizer hung in the air, Braken poked in his second of the evening: 2-0.
Crazy comebacks
With that the striker seemed to set the halftime score, but in the crazy end of the first half that followed, Young PSV came alongside. First Verreth saw his effort end up in the goal via a Gelderland leg, after which Piroe signed for 2-2 with a cannonball in the dying seconds of the first half. After halftime, neither team - barring a small chance - was able to make a mark on the game. Until fifteen minutes before time Abels suddenly broke through on the right. The winger was cleverly played free, then served Ramselaar and saw the midfielder print: 2-3. A few minutes later, Ramselaar pounced on the ball from about twenty meters to make it 2-4. It was not enough for victory, as Romeny and Kvida made it 4-4 in the end.
