Joëlle Smits may report to the KNVB Campus in Zeist on Monday. The 19-year-old PSV Women's player has been called up as Lineth Beerensteyn's replacement for the Orange Lionesses.
Smits came over from FC Twente last summer and is currently in blood form. The striker scored no fewer than sixteen goals in the first nine games of the season. Together with teammates Aniek Nouwen and Katja Snoeijs, she will now prepare with the Orange Lionesses for the European Championship qualifiers against Turkey (8-11) and Slovenia (12-11).
