Head coach Roger Schmidt may have Cody Gakpo back at his disposal against Heracles Almelo. Armando Obispo is sure to be there again.
Training
PSV trained Saturday for the last time ahead of the lunch match with Heracles Almelo. In it, Roger Schmidt can have Armando Obispo available again. The defender participated in group training. "He gives us extra options in the final line, so I'm happy with that," Schmidt said in his preview of the match against the team from Almelo. In that match, Cody Gakpo may also make an appearance again. PSV's reserve captain trained fully on Saturday. "We have to see how it goes after training. Phillipp Mwene will definitely not be there yet. He had a tap on his knee and it is still painful."
Ramalho
Another "new" face on the training field was that of André Ramalho. The Brazilian took his first steps on the pitch, but did not yet train with the group. He may make his return to PSV after the international period - at the end of March. Richard Ledezma also worked on his recovery individually on the training pitch.
Title race
Both players could yet claim a role in the title race. For many it is a surprise that PSV is still in contention for the title, but after last weekend the difference with leaders Ajax is only two points. "There are still 10 games to go in the league and we look at it step by step every time. We are well on course and are only looking at the next game because we can earn the points there," Schmidt said. "There are plenty of tough challenges ahead and the season is still long. We have to be ready for a new assignment every time."
