After PSV's goal, points still seemed to be in the air, but in the end PSV was empty-handed against AS Monaco. A disappointment, Roger Schmidt also looks back on the match.
Sour
The further PSV got into the match, the better the team started to play. That makes it hard to cope with the loss, the Head Coach believes, "It hurts a lot. We didn't play a bad game, especially the second half was good. There are areas for improvement, but we definitely had our moments. Good pressing, a lot of shots, but we only came to one goal. That's why it does feel sour. Now we have to win against AS Monaco in the return. We have to do that."
Still chances
"Disappointing, getting a goal against in the last minute is never good," is what Marco van Ginkel says about the match. "The first half AS Monaco had a few good chances in the counter. Then we turned it our way and scored. We went hunting for that 2-1, but then it falls on the wrong side. That's very bad. But there are still three games to go, so we still see chances to winter."
