"This was a very good game," Schmidt said afterwards. "We showed well offensively and gave the opponent no opportunities to do anything back. Still, I see some room to improve, but there is always that."

The previous two games in the Eredivisie did not end well, but PSV has recovered strongly. Schmidt is proud of his team and now hopes to continue this line: "This was an important win in a lesser phase in the league. We showed character and quality on the pitch. This is gives us energy and self-confidence and we will take that with us to all competitions."
KNVB Beker
Shortly after the match, it was announced that PSV will play Go Ahead Eagles in the semifinals of the KNVB Beker. Schmidt looks ahead to the encounter briefly: "I expect a tough match. You should never underestimate your opponents, especially in the cup tournament. Everyone plays to win, especially if you're in the semifinals. We are going to give everything to reach the final and the final victory."
