Roger Schmidt looks back on the match against FC Twente with pride. But there are points for improvement according to the Head Coach. Especially the goals against fell too easily. Still, he cannot complain too much because of PSV's five goals.
Reaction
"This was the reaction I was hoping for, after last week's loss," Schmidt said. "FC Twente is not an easy opponent. They have made it very difficult for some of the top teams in the Eredivisie. That's why victory is most important. It started as an open game, but in the second half we were the better team. Then we deserved to win."
Points for improvement
Despite the generous result, the Head Coach sees areas for improvement: "There are two sides to every match. We scored good goals, more also let two through too easily. After halftime we recovered and showed what we can do."
Vinícius
Carlos Vinícius scored his first and second goals for PSV. A great moment for the Brazilian, who has always kept Schmidt's confidence. "Carlos is a good player, but also a good person," said the Head Coach. "He gives everything for the team and is really a fighter. It's nice for him that he scored his first goals. The first one is the most difficult, but also the most important."
