After the won home game against N.E.C., Roger Schmidt appeared at the press conference with mixed feelings. On the one hand, PSV was able to add three points, but on the other hand, the championship definitely went to the rival.

Bad luck
"Ajax are unbeatable after 33 games and are therefore deserved champions," reasoned the coach, who also congratulated the rival. "We were unlucky at times with the number of injuries, among other things, but we still made it difficult for them until the end."

Good start
Schmidt was happy with the victory anyway. "I want to finish with the maximum number of points. Today we started the match well, but the news that we could no longer be champions came in for a while. After that we still manage to win, so compliments to the team."

Last home game
The 3-2 victory over N.E.C. was also the last home game for Roger Schmidt. The coach is leaving after this season and is thus in his last weeks as Head Coach of PSV: "I'm not so busy with that yet, I'm still enjoying every day here. That also means that I want to win against PEC Zwolle. So Sunday we are going to give everything one more time."
