Ruud Hesp and John Feskens will be members of PSV's staff starting next season, technical manager Marcel Brands announced Friday. Hesp comes over from FC Groningen and will be goalkeeper coach of the A-squad. Feskens, coming from Willem II, takes over the tasks of Klaas van Baalen (65), who stays on as part-time scout.
Hesp: "Happy with this step"
Former goalkeeper Ruud Hesp (47)'s active career included working for Fortuna Sittard, Roda JC, FC Barcelona and the Dutch national team, with whom he experienced the 1996 European Championship and 1998 World Cup. After that, he worked for Roda and FC Groningen. During his time in Spain, he was a teammate of head coach Cocu. Hesp will start at PSV from July 1. "I am extremely happy with this step. PSV is the top in the Netherlands, this is a great opportunity for me at a great club. I am looking forward to working with Phillip Cocu and the rest of the staff. This is an incredibly nice challenge," Hesp said.
Feskens: "Very nice challenge"
John Feskens (47) played in his long career as a professional for Willem II, NAC and Excelsior. He then worked for RKC Waalwijk and again Willem II. At PSV, he takes over the duties of analyst Klaas van Baalen, who remains associated with the club as a part-time scout. "I see a very nice challenge to work at a top club for the first time, I am very much looking forward to that," said John Feskens. "I am also looking forward to working with video analyst Wim Rip, one of the specialists in the Netherlands in his field." John Feskens also officially starts at PSV on July 1.
