First half
Phillip Cocu's team started well against the Brabant premier league side. After seven minutes, Jürgen Locadia shot the 0-1 on a pass from left back Jordy de Wijs. Barely five minutes later, Adam Maher doubled the score. With a feint, the midfielder wrong-footed the home team's rear guard and his shot was unstoppable for goalkeeper Timo de Louwere. After the good start, PSV remained dominant, but struggled to break down the Schijndel rearguard. The home club only became dangerous with two shots from the second line. After half an hour of play, however, Jeroen Zoet made a mistake. The goalkeeper misjudged a back pass from Brenet and corrected his mistake with a foul in the penalty area. The awarded penalty kick was shot in by striker Dirk van Eck. Five minutes later, Aleksandar Boljevic provided another margin of two. The Montenegrin fired two shots one-on-one with De Louwere, putting the 1-3 halftime score on the scoreboard.
Second half
After halftime, Cocu had goalkeeper Remko Pasveer make his debut in the PSV shirt, while other substitutes Zanka, Tamata, Leemans, Vloet, Van Vlerken, Van Overbeek, Noor and Rayhi also came into the lines during the second half. Locadia scored twice more just after halftime, bringing his total in the match to three goals. Mathias Jorgensen then headed home from a corner kick, and Bram van Vlerken provided the final piece of the scoring a quarter of an hour before time by shooting in the 1-7. PSV will practice again on Friday. On Saturday, the team leaves for a training camp to Austria, where it plays its next practice match on Sunday. In St. Pölten, SKN Sankt Pölten is the opponent. On Tuesday, the team meets Austria Wien in Vienna, before returning to Eindhoven on Friday.
