Anyone seeing the numbers would think PSV had an easy afternoon in Zwolle. But it didn't go that easy, according to goal scorers Pablo Rosario and Donyell Malen. Their reaction.
'Start was bad '
"We started badly twice. Before halftime and after halftime," responded captain Pablo Rosario. "We were sloppy on the ball, passes didn't arrive and therefore we made it much too difficult for ourselves. Fortunately, we recovered it ourselves and walk out to a big win. On to Thursday," said the maker of the 0-1.
Malen
Donyell Malen made it 0-2 midway through the second half, deciding the match. Until then, PSV was struggling, especially before halftime, and Malen knows why. "I think the positions weren't quite right. It became a bit of a funnel in the middle. In the second half we did that better. A breeze I wouldn't call it, but I'm glad we won," said the striker, who scored his eighth goal of the season. "It wasn't a world-class shot if I have to be honest. In the top of my mind that one won't stand, but it counts."
