PSV was searching for the equalizer against PEC Zwolle for a long time, and in the end it was André Ramalho who managed to find the net with his head. The defender kept faith with his teammates for the full 90 minutes.
Improvements
The PSV goals fell in the final 10 minutes, but PEC Zwolle's first was already in the first three. According to Ramalho, some concentration was lacking: "In the first minutes, we didn't anticipate the situation well. That's something I want to improve as a defender. I'm never satisfied when we get a goal against. If they hadn't scored so quickly, it would have been a completely different game. I'm sure of that."
Playing to win
The Brazilian eventually broke through the Zwolle wall first and made it 1-1, then the game fell open. "I would have preferred to score that goal a little earlier," Ramalho says. "But in the end, what matters is that we win." Many of PSV's goals fall in the last ten minutes, according to the defender, which is indicative of the team's fighting spirit: "That shows our mentality. That we are always ready to score and always try to create chances. In the end, we showed ourselves well. We have to try to score earlier, but we will always try our best and always play to win."
