Strong saves
In an atmospheric Sclessin Stadium, Nebojsa Vuckovic's team had a tough task ahead: keep Standard Liege from the championship and rise to fourth in the league table themselves. In the first half, PSV/FC Eindhoven's hopes grew and the team held their own. Standard Liege got good chances, but goalkeeper Angela Christ was a real obstacle for the leader and kept her team in the game with strong saves. The half-time score was 0-0.

Standard Liege champion
After halftime Standard Liege immediately put their house in order and Sara Yuceil scored the opening goal. PSV/FC Eindhoven stayed in the game but could not prevent Standard Liege from doubling their lead through Tessa Wullaert. By bringing in Vermeulen, Van de Wetering and Van Es, the head coach tried to force a breakthrough offensively. Lisanne Vermeulen came close with a header but headed just wide. Angela Christ made a crucial save in extra time to limit the damage to 2-0. Standard Liege deservedly became champions of the BeNe League.
