The Eredivisie has started again. PSV started strong with a win over Heracles Almelo. The captain's armband was worn for the first time by André Ramalho, who looks back on the match with pride.
Tricky in Almelo
"It's important that we start winning. We knew it would be difficult, I heard from teammates that it is always difficult in Almelo," Ramalho told ESPN's camera. "The start was not great, but after 15 minutes we got better. Bruma's goal also helped tremendously. We started with a changed team but everyone did well."
Staying awake
Another important match awaits Wednesday, the first meeting in the two-game series with Benfica. According to Ramalho, the team is ready: "We can put up very good things. This is the kind of match we want to have leading up to the game in Portugal. We have to stay awake now. Benfica is a different kind of team and it will be a different kind of match."
Good feeling
Noni Madueke also appeared on camera with a big smile. The striker scored the second goal of the evening and continues his good form: "I got a great pass from Jordan Teze. Good between the defenders. I'm glad I was able to score the goal. Actually I was going to be substituted but the Head Coach gave me five more minutes, that was enough to score. I am happy with the goal, the minutes and the win. There is a good feeling in our camp."
