In the last match before the winter break, PSV hosts Vitesse at Philips Stadion. After a strong start to the league, Vitesse is not going through the best phase of the season. Henk Fraser's team won only one of its last seven matches and has dropped to seventh place. About a month ago, ADO Den Haag was beaten 2-0.
Seasons
PSV has already won eight Eredivisie games in a row against Vitesse. The last defeat PSV suffered against Vitesse was more than four years ago. That was a big one: PSV lost 6-2 at home. Since then, Vitesse has not managed to score at Philips Stadium.
LoLo
The previous encounter between the two teams went a lot more favorably for PSV. Phillip Cocu's team was too strong 4-2 in Arnhem less than two months ago in a good match. Jürgen Locadia seemed to have an unfortunate afternoon with an own goal, but he more than made up for it by scoring twice. Hirving Lozano also notched two goals and Mason Mount provided the final chord.
Possible milestone De Jong
Last weekend Luuk de Jong played his bicentennial premier league game against ADO. Against Vitesse, the striker can reach a new milestone. If De Jong scores again it will mean his hundredth Eredivisie goal. He has done so in the last three home matches in the Eredivisie and he was also successful in the cup against VVV-Venlo.
