PSV Women lost the first match of the championship pool. FC Twente was too strong 4-2 at De Herdgang. PSV could not turn around the early large deficit (0-3) in the second half.

Dramatic start
FC Twente started the match against PSV Women strongly. Angela Christ saved the first goal with the help of the crossbar, but in the4th minute the score was already high, 0-1 through Ellen Jansen. PSV could not get a grip on the game of the team from Enschede. Despite several attempts from distance, coach Vuckovic's team could hardly become dangerous. In the 19th minute it was Bente Jansen who scored a goal on behalf of FC Twente from the edge of the box, 0-2. PSV's greatest feat in the first half came in the name of Sofia Nati, she shot from distance at the crossbar. Shortly thereafter, Joëlle Smits deftly worked a cross from the right side into the net, 0-3. Just before halftime, the referee pointed to the spot after a foul. Vanity Lewerissa was floored and shot the penalty herself, 1-3.

At halftime, two changes were made on the PSV side. Nadia Coolen and Yvonne van Schijndel had to provide offensive impetus in the second half. In the 79th, Joëlle Smits put an end to all illusions by heading in a cross and scoring her second goal of the evening, 2-4. The match against FC Twente ended in a 4-2 defeat.
