The team is on the eve of its league start and starts the season without five injured players. For PSV Women, the Eredivisie Women starts this Friday with an away game against newcomer Excelsior/Barendrecht.

PSV Women will start the league without five players Pleun Raaijmakers, Kim Mourmans, Corine Peels, Michelle Hendriks and Vera ten Westeneind. Due to various injuries the five are not yet available for the team of coach Vuckovic. Pleun Raaijmakers is still troubled by an unfortunate head duel in the last league game against Ajax where she suffered a concussion. Kim Mourmans is out with a back injury and has an adapted program. Corine Peels is in the final stage of her recovery from a cruciate ligament injury.

Long-term absence
Michelle Hendriks, out of action since January, underwent surgery for an injury to her knee during the summer break and is focusing on the second half of the season. Recruit Vera ten Westeneind signed her first contract with PSV Women in May but was injured during the preparation with Oranje O19. The player has now undergone successful surgery for a cruciate ligament injury and will enter a long-term rehabilitation program. The player will not be in action this season.
