PSV's women's team has started its adventure in the Eredivisie Women. The away game against PEC Zwolle was won 1-4 thanks to goals by Michelle Hendriks, Myrthe Moorrees, Nadia Coolen and Vanity Lewerissa.

PSV Women shoots out of the starting blocks
Coach Nebojsa Vuckovic predicted in advance that his team would have a tough time against PEC Zwolle's defensive block. Despite the home team's defensive intentions, PSV, with four debutants in the starting line-up, got off to a flying start, resulting in chances for Lewerissa and Kuijpers. In the 13th minute, Myrthe Moorrees shot a free kick off the crossbar from a promising position before Michelle Hendriks was able to open the scoring from the rebound. Striker Vanity Lewerissa, with Coolen a constant plague on the PEC Zwolle defense, scored her first goal in the PSV shirt not long after. She snatched the ball from goalkeeper Olthuis and shot tightly inside. In the closing stages PEC Zwolle managed to score the extra goal via a free kick, making the final score 1-4. A great result for the women, also saw Vuckovic. ''The team radiates fun and works hard for and with each other. The first half was played excellently from the organization. We failed to run out to 6-0, 7-0 here and will definitely have to be sharper in that but opening with a 1-4 win is just good.''
