PSV/FC Eindhoven travels north on Friday night for the away game at sc Heerenveen. The match against the number ten of the league table will be played at 7:30 p.m. in the Abe Lenstra Stadion.
Win over Heerenveen women
The PSV Women won the home game with the Frisians 2-0 thanks to goals by Lisanne Vermeulen and Ibtissam Bouharat. However, head coach Nebojsa Vuckovic does not assume that the second match is a certainty on that basis as well. "Heerenveen have won the last three league games and are in a flow. I expect a difficult game in a beautiful atmosphere because of all the action Heerenveen has organized. That should give a boost to the home team." Heerenveen is combining the game with the TrappeRun for Foppe de Haan's fund and has now distributed 14,000 tickets for the match. "We must not be distracted or impressed by the surroundings. The players must be right on top and go for the full win," Vuckovic warns. With a win, the ladies will do good business in the league table. If RSC Anderlecht forfeits points, PSV/FC Eindhoven passes the Belgians and the team moves up to sixth place.
Unchanged selection
Within the matchday squad there are no changes compared to the cup game against FC Twente. Players Maran van Erp, Mauri van de Wetering and Laura Strik are back. For Kika van Es and Michelle Hendriks the game comes too soon. "Despite the 0-2 defeat in the KNVB Cup, our team has received all the praise for the play shown. We are determined to continue that line," said coach Vuckovic.
