PSV Women will travel to Amsterdam on Friday for the meeting with Ajax. The result of the duel will determine participation in the champions' pool, with only a win offering a chance at the playoffs.
Coach Vuckovic's team is in sixth place in the league table and has put itself in a difficult starting position in the Eredivisie Women. Only three points against the number two Ajax still offers PSV a chance to make the playoffs. Vuckovic looks ahead to the last regular league game: ''Ajax, regardless of the stakes, is always a tough opponent that guarantees a tough battle on the pitch. It is a top affair in which we have to play fully for the win. After the disappointment against PEC Zwolle, we quickly turned the knob to fight for our last chance.''
Five absent
PSV Women cannot call on DeCesare, Hendriks, Peels, Ten Westeneind and Susanna during the away game. Coolen returns to the matchday squad after an ankle injury. Kickoff is at 19.30 hours at sports complex De Toekomst in Amsterdam.
