PSV Women will play the home game against Telstar on Friday night at 7:30 pm. An opponent against whom PSV often struggles, but also an encounter that yielded a record victory earlier this season (9-2). An interesting game beforehand, then. Coach Nebojsa Vuckovic looks ahead.
Watch out
The home game against Telstar produced a goal-scoring spectacle, the away games were narrowly won 1-2 twice. Vuckovic is therefore not tempted to make predictions about the outcome. "We often have a tough time against Telstar, the 9-2 was settled, but the away games we won only narrowly. It will not be an easy task but we are working towards the match with confidence." PSV Women missed the chance to catch up with leaders Ajax last week. However, the team did maintain second place in the league table and it can consolidate this on Friday. "The game against Ajax we pushed aside. That's been and we have to move on. This week we cleared our heads and shifted our focus to Telstar. We are looking at the season from game to game and will see where we end up."
Four absent
Vuckovic cannot call on players Vanity Lewerissa, Sylke Calleeuw, Ibtissam Bouharat and Nadia Coolen for the match due to injuries. The latter fell out injured against Ajax and is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks with a muscle injury.
