No one had ever been on the moon, Luc Nilis was just on year old and child starlet Heintje was at number 1 on the charts with the German schlager 'Heidschi Bumbeidschi'. The last time Go Ahead Eagles managed to beat PSV dates back to November 3, 1968. More than 48 years ago, Gerrit Niehaus provided the only goal.

Unbeaten in 24 home games
In total, PSV lost to Go Ahead Eagles four times. Those were all games in the 1960s. PSV is unbeaten in its last 24 home games against the Deventer side, winning its last 12 since a 1-1 draw in 1981. In away games, the streak is slightly shorter: in 1995 it was 1-1 at Vetkampstraat.

10-0
Also, Go Ahead Eagles is one of three clubs that PSV once managed to win by as much as 10-0. That happened in 1973. Willy van der Kuijlen, who celebrated his 70th birthday this week, scored four goals in that match. The other two 10-0 wins in the Eredivisie were against FC Volendam (in 1998) and Feyenoord (in 2010).

Not efficient in finishing
Interestingly, Go Ahead Eagles scored from eight percent of its shots so far this season. While PSV scored eight more goals, they also needed many more shots to do so, making Phillip Cocu's team's percentage also eight percent. To increase that efficiency, it might be wise for PSV to have practiced a little extra on penalty kicks this week. After all, Go Ahead Eagles has already faced five penalties this season. That's more than any other premier league club.
