PSV will continue with Richard Ledezma (21) for longer. The American midfielder is extending his contract until mid-2024 at the club. 'This feels great after last season. I enjoy every moment I'm a football player,' said Ledezma.

Knocking back
For Ledezma, the contract extension symbolizes a new chapter at PSV. The American made his return to the football field this month. Ledezma suffered a serious knee injury a season ago and had to rehabilitate from that for more than a year. Against Fortuna Sittard (KNVB Cup), Ledezma played his first minutes in PSV 1 since that injury. "I'm extremely happy to be part of the team again and am looking forward to developing immensely. I realize I have to be patient and am proud to be here again. Words cannot describe how excited I am. I enjoy every moment that I am a football player," he said.

PSV player since 2019
Richard Ledezma is an American attacking midfielder with Mexican roots. Three years ago he was accepted by PSV into the youth academy. Before that, Ledezma played football in the United States with Real Salt Lake. At PSV Academy, Ledezma started at Young PSV, his debut in the first the midfielder made in 2020 against ADO Den Haag.
