Swift hits
At the MAC³PARK stadium in Zwolle, PSV played the last game of the season. Across all competitions, the team has played 58 games and now the season is coming to an end. Against PEC Zwolle, the team wanted to pop one more time. The first to strike on behalf of the Eindhoveners was Bruma. Cody Gakpo shot from distance, but his effort was changed direction. Bruma was on top of the ball and slid it in a controlled manner behind PEC goalkeeper Lamprou. The Zwolle players recovered quickly, however, and managed to surprise PSV with the equalizer. For a moment it even looked like a Zwolle lead was in the cards, but VAR intervened.

Offside
After PEC Zwolle lost the ball, Gakpo seemed to take the lead back, but the angle was too difficult to get a good shot. A very neat pass from Joey Veerman also allowed Mauro JR to strike. Again Lamprou stood in the way. Bruma did manage to find the net after a clever move. Although the goal was ruled offside. The team stepped up the pressure. They fought hard to regain the lead before halftime, but that proved impossible. With the score tied, the teams returned to the locker room.

Talent
At halftime, Philipp Max stayed behind in the locker room and Dennis Vos was allowed to make his debut in PSV's first team. The defender showed emphatically. Gakpo also returned to the pitch motivated. Soon he lashed out and saw his shot deflect off the post. Despite PEC Zwolle already being certain of relegation, they did not give in. A Zwolle lead seemed close, but Yvon Mvogo made a phenomenal save. In the last half hour, PSV's lineup was changed. Richy Ledezma, Maxi Romero and Johan Bakayoko still got minutes played.

Debuts
PSV managed to take the lead. After a long ball from Jordan Teze, Ledezma was able to shoot freely. With a fine finish he put the 2-1 on the scoreboard: his first goal in PSV 1. After this goal came another debut. It was the turn of Jenson Seelt, who came on for Ibrahim Sangaré. In the closing stages, the young talents showed their best side. Bakayoko regularly danced across the field with excellent moves while Seelt and Vos were in control at the back. With a win over PEC Zwolle, PSV closes the 2021-2022 season.
