PSV will take on NAC Breda in the quarterfinals of the TOTO KNVB Beker on Tuesday. The team wants to do something right in their own Philips Stadium against the club from the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, because not so long ago NAC Breda eliminated PSV.

Recent encounters
The last four cup encounters between the two teams from Brabant were each time decided in favor of the club from Breda. Three times of these were quarterfinal matches. The last time PSV and NAC met, PSV went down painfully in the eighth finals. PSV failed to score in all four matches.

History
The omens are now slightly more favorable for Roger Schmidt's team due to recent Eredivisie results against NAC. PSV remained unbeaten against De Parel van het Zuiden in the last fourteen meetings at Philips Stadion. Since 2004, they have won twelve times and drawn twice. In league play, the two teams played exactly one hundred matches against each other. PSV won 63 times, NAC prevailed 19 times and 18 times the encounter ended undecided.

Final four
After home victories against Fortuna Sittard (2-0) and Telstar (2-1), PSV now hopes to qualify for the semifinals of the cup tournament. The last time the club reached this stage of the tournament dates back to the 2012-2013 season. Back then, they won 2-1 against Feyenoord in the quarterfinals.
