Head coach Roger Schmidt announced during the preview that, despite last Thursday's disappointment against Real Sociedad, his team is doing everything possible to regain the three points against N.E.C. on Sunday. 'We bitterly regret Thursday's result, but it is important that we recover. We focus completely on the game with N.E.C. and leave Thursday's game behind us,' Schmidt said.

Accept
The Head Coach looks back on the match against the Spaniards with disappointment. "Our goal was to winter in the Europa League and we didn't succeed. We have to accept that, but it certainly isn't fun. At crucial moments we made too many mistakes. We have to learn from that"

'We have shown more often that we can do it'
That Sunday's match does not await an easy one, Schmidt confirmed. "We have an intensive schedule with only two rest days between away games. That's tough. Nevertheless, we have shown more than once this season that we can perform even with a busy schedule." He says his team must now concentrate on the game against N.E.C. "We expect a strong team on Sunday. So we have to prepare for a club that will do everything it can to take points, especially in home games."

Injured
Noni Madueke fell out injured during Thursday's game. "We cannot yet comment on how he is doing. However, it does appear that he is suffering from muscle problems again," the Head Coach said.
