On several occasions in the first half of the season, PSV allowed an opponent to come back into the game, but against RKC Waalwijk that was not the case. Denzel Dumfries said his team had learned from those earlier duels. 'We make the game dead.

Deserved
The PSV captain, himself responsible for the 0-3 in the 1-4 win, spoke of a deserved victory. "We got to 1-0 with some luck, but then made the game dead. Compared to a lot of other matches, we did that well. We handled the chances we got smartly. Then it looks businesslike and easy, but it wasn't," Dumfries said.

'Played smart'
"We played smart," thought Head Coach Roger Schmidt. "That creates satisfaction. I saw that it didn't happen by itself. We had problems with RKC's tactics before halftime, which allowed them to advance towards our sixteen-meter area. In the end we took advantage of a mistake and scored a total of four good goals."
